RISE Trainee

This full-time position will focus on all aspects of the cooperative, and will work alongside fellow employees to grow the success of Sunrise Cooperative customer-owners. This position requires a four-year commitment. The first two years will be spent rotating through different divisions learning about Sunrise Cooperative. Following the introductory two years, the individual will be evaluated and placed into a position based on their interest/expertise for the remainder of their commitment at Sunrise. At the end of the four-year commitment, the individual will be assessed to determine their future with Sunrise.

Employment Locations by County: Auglaize, Clark, Clinton, Crawford, Darke, Huron, Sandusky, Seneca, Shelby, Warren

  •  This position is a four-year commitment. Two of those years will be spent rotating through the grain, energy, and agronomy divisions. While working in the grain division, hires will experience: grading grain, the inbound to outbound process, and grain marketing. Working in the energy division, hires will gain experience with: bulk oil and propane, service technician, office/sales. Duties while working in the agronomy division will involve day to day operations, work in the seed/chemical/fertilizer warehouse, and office/sales. The remaining two years, hires will spend working in their area of interest. Hires will have the opportunity to explore Sunrise Precision Solutions: soil/ grid sampling, equipment; PCT Sunrise Crop Nutrient Line: production, delivery; Sunrise Cooperative Corporate Office: accounting, marketing.

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

    • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time

    • Valid Driver’s License - with acceptable driving record

    • Ability to pass a drug screen and/or background check
