General Laborer

This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including cleaning, setting up, closing and maintaining facility to support the achievement of business goals and objectives. 

Employment Locations by County: Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, Shelby, Van Wert

  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

    • Working outside and in the facility doing various tasks as needed 

    • Carrying out opening and closing duties 

    • Performing required maintenance duties 

    • Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly facility 

    • Customer service is our priority: Serve patron in a manner that promotes our company, promotes customer service and delivers our patrons the services they need to succeed with their operations 

    • Performing other work-related duties including climbing, enclosed spaces and wearing safety harness 

    • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently 

    • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills 

    • Math skills are essential for detail oriented work 

    • Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task 

    • Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures 

    • Ideal candidate would have some experience driving a fork lift. 

    • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment 

    • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work 

    • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following instructions 

    • Basic reading skills 

    • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions 

    • Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment. 

    • Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization. 

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

    • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time

    • Valid Driver’s License - with acceptable driving record

    • Ability to pass a drug screen and/or background check

    • Qualified applicants will be paid hourly based on experience.

Agronomy Applicator

This position is responsible for the application of crop protection products and fertilizer while also maintaining company equipment. This includes building and maintaining customer relations through expert application. Knowledge of computer and GPS systems is preferred; however, we will train motivated individuals. 

Employment Locations by County: Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, Shelby, Van Wert

    • Operate and maintain fertilizer and chemical equipment. 

    • Blend / load liquid, dry and anhydrous ammonia fertilizer according to labeled directions or recommendations. 

    • Assist to achieve accurate and efficient unloading and delivery of products. 

    • Customer service is our priority: Serve patrons in a manner that promotes our company, promotes customer service, and delivers our patrons the services they need to succeed with their operations. 

    • Operate custom application equipment during peak season to meet the demands of the business and exceed the expectations of our customers. 

    • Must be licensed and insurable to drive. 

    • Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Applicators License. 

    • Preference will be given to individuals that have a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements. 

    • Understand the importance of providing very high levels of customer service. 

    • Working knowledge of technical systems/ applications. 

    • Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization. 

    • Must have problem-solving skills as well as being self-motivated. 

    • Assisting in routine maintenance and Agronomy Operations during non-peak season. 

    • Ability and willingness to lift to/exceeding 50 LBS. 

    • Ability and willingness to climb to heights more than six feet. 

      *Willing to work with the right candidate to help secure these licenses.*

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
